Ceremonial opening of the Lasta factory in Čapljina

With a large number of invited guests and an appropriate program, a ceremonial opening was held, led by the host Maja Čengić Miralem. Čapljna cultural and artistic society "Zora" from Strug/Gorica danced the traditional dance Linđo, and the ceremony was opened by HKUD "Seljačka sloga" Trebižat with the composition "Dok Neretva Šumi".
Lasta donated 10,000 KM to the Humanitarian Society "Cvijet" from Čapljina, and in addition, they decided to renovate their premises so that the users of the association could enjoy in those premises.The mayor of Čapljina and the owner of Lasta, Mr. Petar Ćorluka, addressed the audience.
"You should have had a lot of courage to take over the factory and realize the whole story, but luck follows the brave, so there have been falls so far, but I think that from now on 'Lasta' will just fly", said Ćorluka.The entire opening event was led by a combination of experience and youth, so the festive tape was cut by food technologist Bosa Šutalo and the children of the Čapljina Kindergarten.All guests had the opportunity to see the factory from the inside, laboratory spaces, offices as well as some parts of the production plant. Lasta Strudels, Tea Rings, linđo and Cream Sticks are flying from Čapljina to all parts of BIH again.
The company Violeta, whose family is part the Lasta factory, took over the company in Austria Schmid Maissau. Their brand of famous Austrian gingerbread is 110 years old. For many years that they have been on the market, they have been recognized as specialists in making gingerbread at the highest level.
Experiences and methods of production from Austria will be transferred to Lasta by a technologist who has been working and producing famous gingerbread for years. Based on experience and market needs research, Lasta will work on a new type of biscuit, in order to satisfy the product and export gingerbread to the western market.
